These little beauties, also known as the Black-footed Penguins, are found on the south-western coast of Africa, living in colonies on 24 islands between Namibia and Algoa Bay, near Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
Boulders Beach is a tourist attraction, for the beach, swimming and the penguins. The penguins will allow people to approach them as close as a meter (three ft).

Photo was made in backlight. Be carefull when shooting into the sun. It can really ruin your camera inside. Just make sure the sun is about to set. For more impact of sunrays you can use a small aperture (high f value).

Only Lightroom was used for this photo. It has been cropped from above, and by means of several presets the colours were adapted to this result.
